Hi, I'm Ian!

My financial education started when I was young, watching my parents navigate through the 2008 housing crisis. It sparked a curiosity in me that lingered until I started investing.

I’m passionate about how people’s early experiences shape one’s views on money (root of all evil?), investing (too risky/scary?), and financial outlook. For me personally, I was fortunate to have exposure to the good, the bad, and the ugly of investing and business. It led me down my path of self education before taking action with various RE transactions.

I look forward to sharing some of the resources I’ve found helpful, and the current events and conversations that I’ve been keeping up with.

Since I began investing…

I’ve done everything from single-family homes to apartment buildings using various ownership structures, including joint ventures and syndications, and financing methods, including commercial financing and creative financing.

My real estate journey has given me the platform to share my knowledge with others. I spoken at various conferences and been a guest on podcasts. I have also created a community of over 150+ investors focused on Cincinnati and host an annual investor’s field trip to the market!

"Each One, Teach One"

Outside of investing, I volunteer at a non-profit boxing organization and coach members to not only compete in the sport of boxing, but also live healthier and more active lives.

My motto in boxing is “each one teach one”, and I hope to do so as it relates to financial literacy and real estate investing. Real estate investing isn’t done overnight, but is a powerful tool that can help to achieve one’s financial goals earlier in life. A few moves every year compound and can lead a person down a much different trajectory over time.
